OUR SERVICES

We go beyond cancer
support groups

At the Neighborhood Cancer Connection, it’s essential that we support the whole person confronting cancer, not just the physical or emotional parts. Our four key services offer a holistic approach to helping cancer patients.

Counseling Support

The mental and emotional impacts of cancer are the most difficult to measure but are deeply felt. Our team offers several different cancer support groups as well as free, one-on-one counseling to assist with the emotional toll of cancer. These services help provide a true sense of connection and community for our clients.

Individual Services

  • Cancer patient support groups
  • Caregiver support groups
  • Bereavement support groups
  • Breast Cancer support groups
  • Individual counseling for cancer patients, family members, and the bereaved

Financial Support

For Greenville County cancer patients living at or under 200% of the poverty level, we pay for cancer-related medications (prescriptions that otherwise might go unfilled), assist with household bills, and fund transportation costs for those needing help getting to treatment in state or out. We also provide stipends for special requests like funeral expenses for those who have lost loved ones.

Individual Services

  • Assistance with prescription costs
  • Assistance with transportation costs
  • Non-medical financial assistance
  • Burial assistance

Nutritional supplements, like Ensure®, and other supplies are vital to remain strong in the fight against cancer. Annually, we invest more than $200,000 to cover the costs of supplements for those who need them most.
