While much is changing at the Cancer Society of Greenville County, its service to clients will remain the same.
“Our clients are trying to survive,” says Executive Director Lisa Colby. “Even if people are done with their cancer journey, they’re still trying to survive. It’s a financial strain. It’s a social and emotional strain, and they’re at their wits’ end. Sometimes we are a lifeline for them.”
Changes are happening to support that lifeline. The organization recently broke ground for a new building at 113 Mills Avenue and unveiled a new name – Neighborhood Cancer Connection – to better reflect its goals, its reach, and its clientele.
